Scottish Premiership

The Scottish Premiership is the top division of Scottish football. Its 12 teams play each other three times over 33 matchdays, and then the table splits into two halves of six, which play five more matchdays among themselves to finish the season.

The league is dominated by the Old Firm, the rivalry between Celtic and Rangers, the two clubs that share almost every title. That superiority shows in very uneven statistics: the two big clubs usually score a lot and concede little against the rest. Beyond them, the fight for European places and to avoid relegation is very even.
