Brazil
The Novo Basquete Brasil (NBB) is the top division of professional basketball in Brazil. With more than 15 participating teams, it is the most important league in South America and one of the region's basketball development hubs.
Brazil is a Latin American basketball powerhouse and the NBB reflects that competitive level. The league has served as a platform for players who later competed in Europe and the NBA, and Brazilian teams regularly take part in FIBA Americas continental competitions.
